....for this recipe for apple crumble from cook yourself thin

in the video for the vanilla creme fraiche, it sounded like that they put a splash of calvados in that as well as the filling...can someone confirm this???

btw, what is an average splash??? 50ml? 100ml??

you could substitute just about any fruit you wanted to - pear, peach, rhubarb, blackberries, cherries, etc - or a mixture of those you like. i would say an average splash is somewhere between one and two tablespoons (on my measuring spoons the tablespoon is marked at 15ml).
calvados is apple brandy so if you use different fruit you may want to use a different spirit too.
