any Dutch people about or someone who knows about driving in Holland

I've read that in Holland there are 2 types of roundabouts, one where you give way to people on the roundabout (like in UK) and one where people on the roundabout give way to people joining.
I'm due to drive in Holland this summer and just want to know if the latter of the two roundabouts are quite common and how do you know which type you are approaching?

it was a few years back around the salford area when i came up to it i slowed down and the cars on the roundabout stopped .i must admit it is the only one i have ever seen
