Glaucoma
5 Answers
Was diagnosed with glaucoma just over a week ago now.
I have two questions:
1) Can anybody share their experiences of living with glaucoma.
2) How successful did they find the eye drops in treating the condition?
3) How old were they when diagnosed?
4) Has anybody tried any alternative treatments or vitamin regimes-I believe their is a formula called Ocu-Plus.
Many Thanks & Best Wishes

Also my next door neighbour has this condition aswell, he used 2 different type of drops 3 times a day and his is also under control.
On the plus side, the drops make your eyelashes grow longer (apparently in the USA, women use these drops solely for this purpose!!).
Good Luck.

My Mother was 75 when it was first noticed by the optician.
She did have to change her eye drops last year, when the pressure in her eyes went up, but now they are back to normal. Obviously these drops are for life and the only downside is they seem to make her eye sockets very red - we did ask the Dr. about this, and he said that is a side affect of all the drops.

My next door neighbour is 76 but his was diagnosed in his mid 40's after getting a splinter of metal in his eye from his work.
Apparently it can be inherited aswell - so I have my eyes checked for it at my annual eye test - also I do not have to pay for my eye test, as my Mum has the condition. I am 53 years old.
Bye for now
