Foreign body in Tesco ready meal
6 Answers
Hi, just returned from France last night, couldn't be bothered to cook so bought a ready meal at my local Tesco Express only to find an inch long bit of plastic in it as I ate. I don't really want to complain directly to the store (they're not the most helpful bunch of people in the world), I can't find any address to write to or email on the Tesco website, does anyone have an address or email I can write to? Many thanks for any help (the store in question is in Cambridge)

We took the uneaten item still with the foreign part in place and took it back to the store and saw the manager. A month or two later we received a voucher for 5 and a letter saying they were sorry a piece of plastic wrapping was in the food. Makes you want to tear your hair out as they could not have investigated how the belt rubber could have got there.
I wish now that we have got in touch with the local paper to give it more publicity instead..

Just fancied a cold lager..so popped into Tesco and grabbed four bottles..
When I got home I tried the first one.. it tasted awful..so I looked at the sell by date on the bottle..it was four months over..
Next day when I was passing Tesco I went in and asked about their policy on selling out of date food and drink..
A very nice lady said she was really sorry and asked if another 12 bottles would compensate..
I wonder if that one would work with Jack Daniels..?
