printing problem

can't print anything. machine makes all the right noises, paper feeds through .... blank.
plenty ink, plenty paper,. have checked all connections. no luck.
machine is epson stylus DX4850, and have been happy with it. . Except few days ago, wouldn't print, seem to be storing work then spitting it out all at once. A bit like buses, nothing for ages, then three altogether. to make matters worse can't lay hands on instruction book. haven't needed it till now. any suggestions anyone, please. Am not at all technical.

This may sound a little silly but years ago I suffered the same sort of thing and was advised to empty my Recycle Bin - and it worked!
