Dont know which book, but that particular strip ran April 19th-24th 1998, so you should be able to find the book from that.
Weirdos From Another Planet! (Think it's on page 31-33).
Amazing damn books.... Sorry, just wanted to add my appreciation!

Thank you. I love them- about the only reason I buy the Express. I had saved the strips but my dog chewed them up. Honest! Even funnier when you have had children. Loved the ones recently with the babysitter and now the 'helicopter beanie'. I can remember doing the same thing. Best wishes.
When you say 'recently' they're all old: the final strip was written in 1995! Still brilliant though.
I think my favourite line was 'the surest sign of intelligent life is it hasn't tried to contact us.'

I adore the attack of the snowmen and when they get burgled.
They're all good, but especially enjoyed the irony in The Revenge of the Babysat... (as well as the perplexed look on the Dad's face trying to figure out why the evergreen directly under Calvin's window is dying... until it's revealed to us that Calvin is to lazy to go all the way to the bathroom from his room and the window overlooking the evergreen is handier...)
Did anyone ever see a car or wagon or other vehicle in which Calvin's travelling with all four wheels on the ground... or Calvin's plea for one more Hamster Huey and Gooey Kablooie nightitme storyf rom Dad?

Wow, I didn't know they have been around all this time. I only came across them about a year ago. Looks like I am going to have to make a trip to Amazon.
A big fan - I think the strips are brilliant even though they are all so old now. I look here every day and they always make my day.

I don't think I've got Revenge of the Babysat.... I obviously have some homework this weekend.

I have just treated myself to the complete works and am really looking forward to it's arrival. In the Express today Calvin is imagining what his beanie will be like. I can remember eating loads of cereal to get some plastic frogem that you put bicarb in to make them go up and down in water. We had a shop which sold sweets in tall jars and it seemed to take ages before one was empty which was not glass ( all you ecowarriers out there this was in the days when we recycled stuff because there was a deposit on pop bottles and sweet jars) I'm talking MANY years ago.
I have just had a look to see which book I have and it's the Tenth Anniversary Book. That cost 8.99 many years ago. I wouldn't part with it for anything.
