Bea. To answer your question. God Bless you in Deutsch is - Gottes Segen. By the way, I studied German as my husband was brought up in Austria, where they speak a dialect of the German language. We have 3 brothers of my husband, plus numerous nieces and nephews, none of whom speak English. Some of the younger ones speak a little English, so between us we manage to communicate reasonably well when they are here on holiday. Of course nowadays the littlies are taught English in school. My husband has been in England since he was quite young, speaks both English and German very well, but has forgotten quite a lot, so all the family correspondence is down to me. With regard to crosswords, I'm hopeless at cryptic, sometimes just the odd one strikes a cord, but General Knowledge is my preferred type. By the way I live in Cheshire, where are you.
