but my youngest daughter many eyars ago got a fever and we had her on calpol and in cold bathes etc
turned out shed gotten an ecoli infection
the fever led to convulsions .
her brain swelled up due to the feve rand she spent a week in the sick kids hospital to recover
luckily she did tho her kidneys were scarred
we never found out how she caught it
thankfully she reovered and is now in perfect health

if you can get out, go to tescos they do a mr bump! its by the kids medicene, its a little plastic thing with liquid in it shaped like my bump, you put it in the fridge for a bit and it cools them down, or alternativly i used to use the cool strips, soothe and cool i think they are called, blue and you place it over the forehead, my daughter hated calpol aswell!!
I agree with all of the answers given - excellent advice and would just add if she feels unhappy trust her mother's instinct and get advice from NHS Direct. Never take chances with children - they often make you look silly and bounce into action when you take them to seek medical advice but better safe than sorry as legendis.god says. My grandchildren (2, 3 & 6 yrs) all take medicine far better from a syringe also. Hope all is well xx
