Electricity Supply
5 Answers
Currently we are with one of the big energy companies. But today a rep visited our house and said that we could cut this supplier out by dealing directly with his company which is directly attached to the electricity supplier. If we did this we would save money.
Unfornuately I was out at the time but my other half saw this guy who is returning tomorrow.
Is this a scam or a genuine deal? Has anyone else been approached by someone similar?

In our area its not been unknown for so called reps of the water compamy to knock on your door pretending you have a leak while the accomplice gets through the back door and rifles your belongings.
Just curious that's all.

If someone is out walking the streets and banging on doors...I can assure you it's not for your benefit.
If he does come back...he will try to baffle you with figures and tarrifs... all resulting in pointing out, that you are paying too much with your current supplier....and you will save s by joining the supplier he is representing...
As BM say's...use the comparison sites...uswitch..moneysupermarket...there's plenty to compare .Just search for ''cheap..fuel,,supply,,''
You only have to enter ..your post code..how much you spend at present, and which method you will pay by .
You have already got a computer in front of you, so enter those details.
Only then will you find the best supplier...
Do it now, and if the rep returns...you can point out that he is wrong..because you have already found out independently, who is giving the best rate.
...One more thing...lock your back door..!
