How strange, if it's an error then it could be claimed back.

Reporting it may put you in good stead if no-one claims it for a certain period of time, not sure if it works like that but might be worth checking.

Just be careful incase it's some wierd money laundering scam.

the bank may have credited your account in error, dont spend it as they may take it back in a day or so, try contacting your bank about it.

I took �100 out from the cashpoint and it never came out of my account and that was years ago....

Puddi.... remove that amount and put it into another account where it can gain (lol) some interest. If they ask for it back, they can only ask for the original amount - you might as well have the 2p you'll get in interest ! Do not spend it.
