I too have lost close relatives from the big "C", and would not wish such a disease on anyone.

I just get hacked off when some z list "celeb" (or ANY "celeb" for that matter) has his/her afflictions rammed down our throats via a media which thrives on such things for a story.

Besides, wasn't the unfortunate Jade Goody more of an object of ridicule prior to the revelation about her terminal illness?

And, to compound the circus that this has become, there's even a so-called "PR Guru", Max Clifford, appearing regularly on the box to "update" us on the latest!!!!!!!!

I thought Princess Di's demise was bad enough from the public weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth which accompanied it, but this story is doing its best to rival it!!!!!!!!

I of course can sympathise with Jade Goody's plight - it's the media circus which gets my goat!!!

I feel very sorry for Jade, but there are other people in the world dying of cancer!

My ex's daughter died of a brain tumor at xmas.

She's using the media to earn enough to ensure the future of her children. Sensible, under the circumstances.

I would be far more concerned with what those around her are likely to do with the money before the kids benefit from it.

Apparently, Jade was going to the doctors 3 years ago, complaining about pain and other symptoms and was told that there was nothing wrong with her!

She said she wouldn't sue, but what do you guys think she should have done?

it's amazing how often in situations like that the "Trustees" are not as trustworthy as they should be. Professional trustees often charge very high fees and do better out of a trust than the supposed beneficiaries.

I've seen it happen and read about others to whom it has also happened.

Perhaps I'm just a cynic.

I enjoyed watching the wedding tonight - I thought they all look lovely, especially Jade - and those two dear little sons of hers - you can see the older son is more knowing what is going on - the strain in his little face was upsetting to see. I think the younger son, was just enjoying the day.

Did you see when the vicar started singing !! I don't know how they kept a straight face - whats the betting he will turn up on the next X Factor.

I wished I'd watched it now! Those sons of hers are just so beautiful. I feel so sorry for them. There's no substitute for a mum. I just hope their Dad does the very best for them.

Donning my cynical skullcap (again!), No Mercy, it's a beautiful sentiment that their "real" father take on the responsibility of raising them once Jade's gone, but the so-and-so hasn't bothered up to now!
