If an actor can act he is an actor, if he can't he's a rubbish actor, doesn't matter where his ancestors came from, I mean, look at the guy who used to cook on crossroads, now there was a terrible actor, was he called shooey mcfee?
The guy who played Shooey Was in the greatest film ever made - The Great Escape. He was fine in that. Sometimes bad acting is actually down to a bad director.
I always remember a comment made by Jasper Carrott about the actor who played Benny in Crossroads.
He said "he is so good he must either really be that stupid or he's a blooming good actor, and if he's a blooming good actor what on earth is he doing in Crossroads?"
What annoys me most about Eddie is that every time he is on screen I have to use subtitles to understand what he is saying. Why don't the directors / producers / anyone else realise that his diction is awful?
