shower problems

can anyone help me please??????
i have installed a shower but for some reason when i turn it on no water comes out unless i wave a magnet infront of the pump then the water comes out. does anyone have any ideas as to why this is. thanking you in advance

There have been a few of these lately Shazz......... they're from a batch destined for the Australian market, ie the pump is polarised for the southern hemisphere.
The magnet just reverses the polarity and it works fine.
Bit inconvenient though :o)

i would guess you have plumber something in back to front. there must be a valve somewhere that is shut when it should be open
