Travelling abroad while on probation
I am currently under a suspended sentence order and am on probation and will be for the next year and a half. At no point have I been told that I am not allowed to travel abroad, it has not been set as any of the conditions of my probation and my passport has not been taken from me.
I wish to travel to Belgium in the next few weeks. Is it allowed for me to do so?
Thanks in advance

You need to ensure that you do not miss any probation appointments. If you do because (say) you were stranded abroad, it could be held that you placed yourself in a position where you had a greater than usual chance of not being able to fulfil your committments. You could then be found to have broken your order and, in your case, the Suspended Sentence could be enacted.
