I read an article that drinking Spearmint Tea can actually help with women suffering from mild hirsute (facial hair). Has anyone actually had this work for them? Apparently it has to be spearmint tea, not peppermint tea. I have, after a long time, managed to track down a supplier and wonder if is worth having a go.

I had heard of spearmint tea for hirsutism. Although I haven't tried this yet, I have found drinking organic milk rather than ordinary milk is better. ( I know milk prices have risen, but its worth a try. Milk contains hormones which I think can encourage this problem.( I am ceertainly not saying give up dairy) I have for years waxed my face every day or so, as it erases the problem and doesn't seem to make it worse, like shaving( or plucking.)

Lumley, I was surprised to get your answer after five months of me putting the question on. I only realised there was an answer because I was alerted by e-mail I had an answer. It would be interesting to know how you found my question - did you plough back five months? Back to the question, I did try spearmint tea. In fact bought a big batch of boxes by sending away for them as I could not find them in any shop or healthstore. I don't like them but perservered. It has not helped at all and I wasted my money. Perhaps it helps some people. I will have a go at the organic milk as you suggested. It can't do any harm. I have had this problem for years. Most people do not know though as I shave my chin every day. If I left it even for one day it is very noticeable, two or three days and it is very, very thick. Doctor don't want to know. It can sometimes by very soul destroying. Anyway, enough of my ramblings. Thanks for replying. Don't forget, please let me know how you found my original message.
