ciggy smoke on your clothes?bovvered or not bovvvered?

firstly i have nothing at all against smokers - if they want to smoke let 'em BUT i have this afternoon come back from a meeting with a client who wants to book me in a few weeks for a gig to celebrate her 21st - when i went in to the house there was ash all over the carpet and i mean loads of it , and a smell like the place has NEVER had fresh air in it, and then the client, her mum, dad and boyfriend all lit up at the same time and it was unbearable - i went showered from this morning and loads of "smellies" on me - pleasant! you know -came out smelling like a f***** chimney pot! - just had another shower not long ago and change of threads!! occupational hazard or nuisance?
any of you guys had the same thing happen? does it bother you? do you smoke and it still bothers you?

Hate the smell of smoke. best thing to happen to pubs making them no smoking. Kill yourselves smokers but don't bring your ***** near me.

I live near a school and it breaks my heart when I see (mainly girls) walking along puffing on a fag - I feel like saying to them - do you realise what thats going to do to your skin, never mind your lungs !!

I can spot a woman who smokes - just take a look at the colour and wrinkles on their face - its a dead giveaway.

As a ex smoker of so many years, smokers are deluding themselves however clean and fresh smelling they think they are.they stink!!!

thanks puddi for your and others refreshing views. I am an unapologetic smoker and will continue to be in spite of others opinions. If smoking were made illegal tomorrow I would stop as I am also law abiding. I am 60 years old and have smoked since the age of 12 (yes and I'm still here). The worst people to whinge about smoking are the new pious ex-smokers who obviously couldn't give a sh1t about others when they were on the evil weed. I am amazed that over the years I have managed to sustain several long term relationships with non-smokers without any one of them alluding to the fact that I obviously stink. I do not include sqad in this 'rant' because he wants me to stop for health reasons.

As an ex smoker I can really smell it on people. 2 of my colleagues smoke and when they come in from smoking I can really smell it.

The worst for me though is when I'm walking behind someone who is smoking and waiting at the bus stop with a load of smokers. I have to move away from them. I wish I could get my parking permit back!
