If i had owned a flat in this current market and also then got a charging against the property. Would it de value the property pirce in any way? Would the charging order have any effect on the property?

The charging order will have no effect on the value of the flat, it has nothing to do with anyone that buys it as it would need be cleared from the proceeds when you sell it.

I agree with the previous answers. A charging order will not devalue your property and prospective purchasers will probably be unaware of it anyway. Searches are made when you have accepted an offer and contracts are to be exchanged.
But if the house is being repossessed that is different. That can affect values as an early sale is required.

Was tempted not to reply with you having been so rude to bednobs who was only trying to help but no it won't affect it unless there is a problem with paying everything off from the sale proceeds.
The only way I could think it would affect it would be if it was in respect of something which made it really obvious there was something wrong with the property itself.
These days it would be visible from the off if marketed by agents as a copy of the title register would be in the HIP. Some property investors may check if a private sale.
