Fish tank decoration

I recently found a skull in the garden, i think its a fox skull, and it want to put it in the fish tank as a decoration as it would look quite good. I just need to know how to sterilise it enough to put in there. The fish tank is a tropical tank. Will leaving it in bleach or boiling water spoil the fish and/or the skull? please let me know what your ideas are, cheers

Boil it for half an hour, it's what museums used to do, bleach would certainly be bad for both the skull and the fish since bone is porous.
