Perfect advise as always guys.
I've had a similar situation with a previous company many moons ago, and i refused to drive it as eventually the metal was poking out of 3 of the four tyres.
I was sacked via some c o c k & b u l l story about poor workmanship !!!!
So, enter a free company called ' Step one ' who fought my case FOC at tribunal and guess who won .....
Do not be bullied by a company/ an employer. You have rights, if not more so.
Best of british - but i would urge you to act swiftly if the vehicle is indeed as you say as i would niether like to see you A: dead / injured or B: disqualified.
Good luck friend

well i kicked off with one of the managers and she finally relented i had to take it to sherwoods to have it checked out as she said and i quote to put my mind at rest as in her the van was fine sherwoods said the front and back brakes where metal to metal it needed new disks on the front and three of the 4 tyres where below minimum requirement they would not release the vehicle back out i gave them her number to ring her as they did and ended up having to walk 5 mile home when i got home she rang me kicking off about how much it was gonna cost to have it repaired and tried to pin the blame on me even though i have own been using the van for 2 weeks and i have been told i have to go in the office on monday for a meeting but she would not say what it was for so i will let you no the outcome
