car radio no power

hello a friend of mine was fitting a cd player in his car when he let one of the wires touch the metal casing of the cd player there was a spark and now the cd player wont work and all the wires are correctly done....did it blow a fuse....??

thats what would normally happen...often theres a fuse on the unit itself
