What's better - kitchen diner or second toilet?
21 Answers
We currently have a second toilet off our kitchen with no wash basin and no room for one. We have one other room downstairs and a kitchen with no room for a table. When we come to sell the property in a few years time do you think room for a table in the kitchen or a second toilet be more attractive to a buyer?

Dennis, I cannot imagine how I could have failed to recognize your Confucius quote, but it was a bit garbled. Thanks for your link. It gives I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand. I think my own translation from the original would be Hearing I forget. Seeing I remember. Doing I understand. I would really like to translate the last one By doing I understand, but that would be to spoil the parallelism in the original for the sake of English idiom. But that idiom makes a distinction which perhaps is necessary in E to bring out the true meaning. What do you think?
