Wind-ups - par for the course?

The subject of wind-ups occurs quite often here, and appear to be perpetrated even more.

This begs some questions for me:

1. Who is most likely to try a wind-up?

2. How long is the wind-up likely to be sustained?

3. Who is most likely to rumble the wind-up merchant?

I hate wind-ups, but these current fights are FOR REAL!
