i am going to lahore pakistan to visit my fiancee.i want to know how i should dress or if there is anything i should take. should i take gifts?

you dont say if you are male of female ? and what nationality, is it your first visit ? a lot you will have to play by ear, be careful not to offend any relative however distant as they will all gossip about you.
if male the whole family will expect a gift, the parents etc would expect something in gold, but buy it there its much cheaper !
If female ask your fiancee what the parents would like, remember they think we are ever so wealthy over here.
Male you must wear short sleeved shirt and trousers, no jeans, tee shirts or track bottoms,
female no shorts or tee shirts, no bare arms.
both may feel more comfortable in the local dress , this you can get made very cheaply when you get there.
It wont be easy and it will be many years before you get accepted, and they will talk about you in front of you in local lingo and smile whilst they do it, sorry to be blunt, but thats how it is.

Although it�s a country I�ve never visited (or ever will), I would take on board Ian Botham�s comment �It�s the type of place you�d like to send your mother-in-law�. And he would have been staying at 5* hotels (if such a thing exists in Pakistan).
