I've just been told a close relative's cancer has come back for the third time when she only went through chemo last summer and now must again. Life isn't just sad but totally **** at times too.
Makes the petty arguements on here look frigging stupid doesnt it? Live each day as if it is your last xxx

Hi guys!
Wingnut - my exes daughter died of cancer last December. She spent 7 years fighting breast, liver, and bone cancer, but once it spread to the brain, it was a death sentence. Thing is, the Oncologists told us the tumour was shrinking, but her husband went home one night (I think it was the night Diana was voted off X Factor) and found her dead on the floor. She'd had a fit and rolled off the bed. The bloody doctor's neglected to tell her that the water on the brain was a ticking timebomb. Maybe they thought it was better she didn't know.
It made me realise how quickly you can just be gone. Fights are, for the most part, unnecessary, but you've got to stand up for yourself when you are being victimised!

Yes, life is sad. I deal with the indirect result of it every day (being a wills and probate specialist), but nothing prepares you for illness or death of a loved one - particularly when so young. One of the worst things I had to deal with recently was my dad (whom I have only ever seen cry once and that was at his father's funeral) crying on the phone over the prognosis of his sister and brother in law, both of which were bad and both of which came within a couple of days of each other.
