Whilst this may be incensitive, I thought I would just say that I went on the above site this morning to see what grants were available to disabled children in the UK today but was amazed to find the above site only gives funds to overseas initiatives and refugees and asylum seekers iniatives. Surely this can't be right can it? Wasn't she a Princess of this country and shouldn't some of the fund monies be given to youngsters in the UK? I don't know, what do you think?

i think that every fund has to have limits on who it will give to, or else everybody would be applying. EG i need a new porch, and i think i'm a very deserving case, but i just cant find anyone to give me a "porch grant"!

there are lots of other funds i would imagine for disabled children to apply to

also it is NOT right - i just went on there and the fund does give money to projects in the UK:
"The Partnership Initiative, under which the Fund is committed to spending up to 5 million over five years to follow-up and add leverage to our previous investments into penal affairs, mental health and other areas in the UK,"

hi bedknobs u are right! Having delved. Just thought there would have been more about funding in the UK really that's all. Cheers!
It does give or has given to this country, if you look on the database or the map with very clear big red dots there one stuck right in the middle of the UK. If you read the site properly its quite clear. A lot was given to mental health and bereavement charities by the looks of it over the last 8 years and the next 5 years "focus" will be towards the three concerns on the home page, this will change again for the five years after.
