It has been that long since I have had rabbits but my step daughters rabbit has had a litter of 5.

Can anyone remember how old they need to be before she (plus anyone else) handles them. From what I remember I thought it had to be at least 2 weeks and then only the owner to touch them - just due to any unknown smells being left on the babies as I dont want her to abandon them.

Also, how old do they have to be befre they can leave their Mother??

Thanks

They should not be handled by anyone until they are out of the nest and running around. She should resist the temptation to even peek at them. The doe will eat them if they are disturbed as she will think they are threatened.
