engine management light

Hi, just replaced engine in renault laguna, R reg 2.0l 8 valve. It's now running fine apart from the exhaust is blowing from the downpipe connection at the moment. Whilst letting the car tickover the engine management light came on. The car seems to be running as it should, with no obvious problems. Could the light have come on because of the exhaust blowing ( ie affecting the lambda sensor ) TIA

Thanks for a fast answer ( the right answer aswell ) I shall sort the exhaust out tomorrow . Must admit, I was a bit concerned about it. At least I'll be able to sleep tonight now.
