is there a reason you specfically want a travellodge? In my experience, they are horrible souless places. I personally think b and b's are better value

LOL i dont mind them, its just somewhere to sleep at night. xx
the other problem with them is they are often right on motorway junctions (in order that people who are travelling stay there) which is fine if you are doing a long journey, but not great if you want a nice few days away (well visiting a motorway isnt my idea of nice anyway but each to their own)
Did see in the paper today that they have started their cheap promotion again...from 19/night, so make sure you check prices at different ones in a given area..you may have to pick a less popular one to get a cheap rate.

Ive looked at the offers but its if you want to go in the middle of week, if you want to go weekend or Fri to Sun like me then you pay more, typical! x
Most travelodge's are still good value, I've stayed in many, inc Barcelona and Madrid and as with most chains you can be allocated a poor room, I have been put in a few but after going back to the desk and "asking" for a better room I have come away happy.
In only 1 case at a stay in Liverpool docks the room was really tatty but they said they where full and I had no choice so I had to make do. ( although the cark park only had 6 cars I had to belive them )
