my doctor reckons its 5.2,i am sitting at 6.3 down from 7.4.
Meaninless figures.

You need to know level of LDL ......bad cholesterol
HDL....good cholesterol.

Your high total cholesterol may be due to all good cholesterol and you don't want to lower that....do you?

Ask your DR. for a breakdown of the above.

Simvastatin is very effective but beware its side effects. One is Paraesthesiae, ( numbness/tingling in fingers and sometimes toes) I suffer from carple tunnel syndrome and the 'sim' made it ten times worse. Don't worry though there are alternatives available.
