Innoculations for Asia trip
We will be taking a trip to Asia this summer. We'll be taking a tour of China, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore on the tour. Then going on our own to Kuala Lumpur for three days. About three weeks total. Staying in relatively nice hotels, no plans on going out in the countryside "roughing it." I have gotten conflicting advice as to whether or not to get vaccinated against Typhoid, Hepatitis A and Malaria. I'd appreciate any definitive answers anyone can provide.

Hepatitis A & Typhoid are both recommended, however are less important for a short stay in tourist hotels. Obviously, you should observe sensible food hygeine precautions about water, ice, fruit etc.
Polio is recommended for Singapore, but if you were born & brought up in the UK and your childhood vaccination schedule was completed fully, again the vaccine is less important for short stays in tourist hotels.
With regards to malaria, the recommendations vary as to specific parts of China especially - you should discuss this with your travel clinic, who will be able to advise based on exactly where you are going.
