I had this and in the end I had to reset the application using my back up on my pc. Was a pain but it sorted it. Glad I back my Tomtom up weekly! I also had something similar with my in-laws TomTom and it turned out to be a corrupt SD card. I bought a new one and it all worked fine after I copied the backup onto the new card.
