If you were to receive a bouquet of flowers from someone who cares, what flowers would you like to see in there?

I rememebr reading an article , well interview with madonna many years ago.She was talking about flowers. She said if a man sends you carnations dump him and have nothing more to do with him.Apparently she says they express cheapness and are equivelant to him saying he bought you them because he thinks youre cheap and a whoar and thats all you deserve!!

Well i was surprised , and i took the wifes carnations back. Now that shes the Ex-wife im wondering if i should have stuck with the first choice?
i like orchids, and cornflowers, not together though. edible ones are great though.....
I like gerberas too, but they always go floppy on me after a day or two :0(
Do peonies last when cut, they go over quite quickly in the garden?
I love scented flowers and I am fortunate in not being allergic to any

:0) xx
Hello Lakitu x

I'd love gerberas and/or sunflowers (they make me smile.) I also love the delicate flowers like freesias and sweet peas.

Because I have a lot of plants in the house, friends and family gift me houseplants instead of bouquets. I prefer them because they can last for years, but I'm slowly running out of space. :-)

Are you expecting some flowers, Lakitu? Is there a special day coming soon? (If you take me to that concert, I'll send you the biggest bouquet you've ever seen!! That's not a bribe by the way!!) xxx
LOL @ Zac
Hi Lakitu , recently I recieved 3 beautiful lots of flowers . I like them all , so can't really single out a particular one :-)
xxxxx
My wedding bouquet included large white roses, bluebells and sprigs of heather and so I like those flowers in a floral gift.

What a lovely question xx
For a recent *big* birthday, I received the most ginormous bunch of flowers I had ever seen - it was like 4 large vase fulls... trouble is, I couldn't have them in the house cos I knew I'd been sneezing non stop (I distributed them to my girlfriends who were chuffed to bits) so my answer would be..... silk flowers, preferably in deep rose or cream colours

Hiya Stone, no nothing is happening that I'm getting flowers. I received flowers from a friend last week, beautiful lily's and they're still going strong xx

Mamma....you don't have a favourite flower?? xx

Juggs, that's a shame you're allergic to them and also very sweet of you to distribute them to your friends. xx
Got to admit, im a sucker for the traditional roses, love the peachy ones you can get.

But to be honest, any flowers are good, and if they last the gauntlet of my daughter decapitating them or the dog quaffing them it's a bloody bonus.

LOL Boo. I was looking after my nephew over the weekend and he's at the stage where he's touching everything, so the flowers I have were put up high and away from baby fingers LOL.
I love tulips, personally. But there's nothing like a small bunch of hand picked wild flowers! I used to go pick some when I was little, for my mum. There aren't many nowadays anymore. :O(
