hi, how would i go about finding out what the nearest PO to me is that i could post a letter in quite late (10pm) and it would start being sent that night?
is there such post offices?

Unfortunately I doubt you'll find one. Thev only place where you'll find a later collection time than a post-box or post-office is your local sorting office and even there the latest is about 7:30 to 8:00 p.m.if you're lucky. It may differ in the major cities.
10 pm is too late.

Our local main office for the area (some miles away) does (or did anyway) have a collection at 7pm, but then that was where the mail went from anyway - no vans needed to do the collecting.

Try the royal mail site - you want the mailcentres or DSO's.
