think I am being picked on at work. cos I am the only female in the office on one day in the week, the men think they can talk to me like sh$t...and treat me as if Im stupid or something. it doesnt happen when the other girls are there.

is this what they call bullying in the workplace.

im ok now, had a little weep to myself but wondering what to do about it

if you feel upset by it and feel that they are treating you differently to others then yes you are probably being bullied.

in the first instance try and ask them to refrain from talking to you that way when no-one else is there. If this continues then go to your manager or HR department and talk to them about it.

Confront it head-on when there are witnesses there to see it. Bullies don't like being exposed, and often try to turn it around and feign complete disbelief at YOUR behaviour. Stick to your guns and let them know that they can't get one over on you. x x

Keep records of everything they say to you, date times and exactly what they said, when it hits the fan you can just show your HR department your dossier and they will suffer.
