JAVA query

i have installed XP and trying to download Limewire. I keep getting the prompt that java not installed.  i tried to download java from Sun technology website but it wont do it for me.

i heard that there is a dispute between java and microsoft so i cannot download it. is this correct?  anything i can do ?

That dispute is over between them for another few years at least. Anyway, when u run the set-up for limewire it should automatically install java at the required point.

If it doesnt, go to the sun website, and download the latest version of java manually. However, this may alter the appearance of some website you visit, especially the likes of chatrooms if u use them.
