Pubs in Derbyshire

In May my husband & I are renting a cottage in Ashover in Derbyshire & We would like some tips on pubs serving food, preferably all day , as we like to call in for a meal on our way back from a day out , so if anyone knows of good pubs around the area of Ashover, Matlock or Bakewell I would be very grateful to hear about them.

this is perhaps a bit outside your area, but it is a favorite..

it's also a bit of a collector's item, you may need to verify locally what days it opens (despite what various websites tell you)
oh, when I was last there, I was told not to ask for lager (unless it's bottled), as being summarily thrown out often offends.
