Yes, they are different so he won't be overdosing. Tell him to stagger them for the best effect, rather than at the same time.

I ususally take Ibuprofen to get rid of the headaches the cocodamol causes :o)
But they are both painkillers right??????

Co-codamol contains a combination of two pain-killing ingredients paracetamol and codeine. It is used to stop pain and fever.
Ibuprofen is a non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug that works in a different way to co-codamol.
As each can only be taken in limited numbers each day, it makes sense to take both if you have severe pain.
It depends on the strength of the tablets aswell. Codine can affect some people so be careful.
I was prescribed Ibuprufen for arthritis pain but ended up in hospital with Colon trouble a few years ago so stopped its use am just taking paracetamol
