5 down, clue: Set of parts, nearly a dozen found in litter (6) I have:?I?L?N, the I being dependant on the I in police, that is an I for India. Help please.

Thank you Ulysses, that must be right. I have made a bit of a horlicks with this one as 9 across: Clue: End of disease in hospital initially exceptionally clean (8) I had "spotless" but now I have, S???T?S? which might be "sanitise" but the tense seems wrong. This would give me ?O?N?E for 4 down which is maybe "Joanne" (JOANNA - PIANO). Comments please.

Sanitise may work out as ;

end of disease = -itis
hospital = san(atorium)
plus "e" of exceptionally
6a Call the police?
maybe 5d is (kit)(ten)
