Is this the most under rated programme on tv?. It has highly likable character's and is every bit as funny as Friends in it's pomp, yet never get's the recognition, I mean, I'm the only person i know who watches it regular.

You're not the only one! I'm a big Scrubs fan and I agree - it doesn't get praised by the critics anywhere near as some vastly overrated sitcoms I could mention.

The first episode of the double bill that was on Wednesday was the most consistantly funny piece of tv that i have seen in years.

It isn't only this, None of my friends have seen Peep Show, and they hadn't seen Phoenix nights or The League of Gentlemen until i gave them a loan of the DVD's, Isn't this exactly the reason most shows get cancelled?

Cheers Andy, But Why can you already buy Series 4 on Region 1 yet we're only getting series 1 here?

its sheer genius , but whos your favourite character ?

for me its between the janitor and the hospital lawyer (is it ted?)

it can make you laugh out loud one minute the bring a tear to your eye the next.

For me, Scrubs is up there with The Simpsons, Nip/Tuck, Father Ted and Family Guy. My favourite aspect is the relationship between JD and Turk. Oh and Elliott is gorgeous!! Sad now that series 4 has ended.... Not much of a cliffhanger but it means i must wait for a while now for the next series.....

I loved it when it was on Channel 4 but don't have Sky. I've just started watching the 4th series tapes (moped gang etc). Great characters filled with surreal moments. I like the Eric Lazlo theme (Superman) as well.

mindbullets (Wonderboy?) The janitor is one of the best ('X marks the spot')

oligopoly Agree its up there with Simpsons Father Ted and my fave Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Surely season four finale airs tomorrow? And according to Amazon.com, only season one is out on DVD. What I like best about it is that it can have you in hysterics one minute and tears the next. I can't watch 'My Screwup' without choking up. And I just love Cox's monologues. And the fact that every character has more than one side to their personality. Awsome series!

i love it!!! it has some of the best developed characters in comedy, cracks me up every time and even my mum likes it (she refuses to even sit through most comedy programmes)

whatever happened to ted's barbershop quartet? the other three went MIA.

Tis true, by far and away it is genius and according to a former nurse "more realistic than Casualty or ER. I think the reason it is so under rated maybe due to 2 factors:
1. The lack of a DVD
2. Channel 4
The reason I have included channel 4 is because they tend to take a lacluster aproach to schedualling, the last time i saw scrubs on TV was a severly cut version at 8:30 in the morning! It could be worse they could shove it on at midnight (like they did with the west wing) and claim "no one is watching it"
mindbullets - favourite character would have to be either the janitor or Doctor Cox - he seems such a cruel, cynical so-and-so, but deep down he really wants his young charges to do well.

oligopoly - your sentiments on Elliott are hereby seconded!
yes aschenbach ,wonderboy.
Yeah, Scrubs is great and does seem to be underrated by the channel four schedulers as well. I also love Black Books, which none of my friends had ever watched before, and the Peep Show. Stumbled across that one by accident but it's great.

As the TV is so rubbish on a Friday night at the moment, I think Channel 4 could benefit from putting Scrubs on at 9pm, as this has always been a good time for comedies on 4. If you look back as far as Ellen, then Frasier and then Friends all benefitted from non pub goers sitting in with abottle of wine or Two.
All of my family have loved Scrubs from the beginning, brilliantly written and acted. My favourite is Turk, I just love him.
J.

Absolutely agree, the show is genius.  Any of my friends/family who've seen it just love it.  For me it's far better than Friends - consistently funnier and never as predictable as Friends was.  It's quite simply must-see tv, and there's not much I'd say that about these days.

Favourite character is a tough one.  Janitor is fabulous but I do love Dr Cox.  The whole story line around him finding out about the real paternity of Jordans son was one of the best.  Hilarious yet so very touching.

Thankfully someone said it before me, I also prefer it to friends, but didn't say for fear of getting hounded out of town.
