I have been working as a Club secretary for the past 5 years with no new contract in place since my first one when i was employed as a bookkeeper for the same Club on 20 hours a week not one of the varing committee's have stated that they want me to have a contract and it has been that i work the hours i do being 37.5 per week on an hourly rate. i do all the things a club secretary does from payroll to liasing with suppliers and general management of the club also attend meetings take minutes etc prepare agenda and upkeep all legislation.
the committee as is now want to change the way that i work with a new contract.
do i have to sign it if it states that the terms are less favourable that what i am receiving now.

However I'm not sure if this is the same if you put in writing that you are not happy with the new contract.
In what way is the new one less favourable? Are they changing your job title to club secrretary? etc.
(someone with the proper knowledge will answer soon I'm sure)
