two note bass

I have recently heard a record with a two-note bass intro, which is then continued through the whole recording-sounds a bit like the old Callan series theme tune. Female singer(s) which can only faintly be heard, but a fabulous mood record. I've heard it played several times on radio and want to buy it, but don't know the name of the artist or song title. Can anyone help??
