Job offer

Hello everybody !

Just had a job offer from an agency (I've worked for in the past)

Electronics inspection work @ �8.20 p/h !!!

Are we stuck in a time warp or something ?

I was on that rate in 1990 !!!

What's going on ?

I suppose I'm fortunate in that I have a decent occupational pension but unlucky in that I do have very bad arthritis but am willing to pay for help. I have my cleaner 4 hours a week and my gardnener to do whatever needs doing once a fortnight. He started back today after the winter break and I asked him if his hourly rate had gone up and he looked at me as if I was mad - I'd still employ him if he increased his rates 'cos you get what you pay for.............

i would not work for anything less than �8.50 a hour .
