blowing bricks on shed

Wonder if anyone can help, the shed out my back is made of breeze blocks and I have noticed that the blocks are blowing and leaving bick dents in the brick, only got to touch it and they fall off, can anyone tell me what causes this and what can I do to stop it. The shed has been up for many years and has been painted

What do you mean `b;owing` mitsy?

It means ''spalling'', where the surface is falling away.. Like this, except in Mitsy's case they're not bricks but breeze blocks.

Frost damage, I guess, Mitsy.
If there's no guttering on the shed, the wall is continually waterlogged. So, when it freezes it blows off.
Perhaps you could post a pic if it's not that :o)

Thanks everyone - yes they are breeze blocks and they do look similar to to whats happened to the bricks in the photo. There is guttering at the front of the shed with a slopping roof. It does get quite damp in the shed and a lot of condensation, don't know if any of this helps.
