Hi Guys please help ?
Over 8 Years ago I was charged for ABH. It was not my fault but there we go. I have just applied for a Job at Heathrow Airport. As you know all Airport jobs do a full criminal record check.

Can you please tell me will this affect me getting the
job ?

I been informed after 5 years I dont have to tell them.

You say that you were "charged" - but were you convicted of the offence in a Court? It makes a big difference.

could you not change it to armed robbery or similar - you'd defo get a job then.......

Hi guys firstly I want to say thanks very much for all
your help so far.

Yes I was attacked my a local gang that has been causing
Serious problems in the area for years. I had to take the law in my own
hands and sort them out. The Police knew and agreed
they were a serious problem + various people and shop managers.

Sadly I was charged for ABH in the Magistrates Court and got 250 hrs
community service. I never been in trouble before so this has really
messed up my job opportunities. Even the court knew this Criminal Gang.

I completed all my hours and never had any problems since
then.

I know after 5 years I don�t have to tell my Employer I have a criminal
Conviction. But when you apply in places like Heathrow they are very
Strict and do many check ups.

Guys I have done various checks on google and I know for a fact after 5 years I dont have to declare it. But in certain jobs like Heathrow they do various criminal record checks. So I dont know about this one if it will show up on the check.
