yes, just a simple ECG can detect it

cazz is probably correct but SADS is an umbrella for quite a few heart cinditions.
As cazz says an ECG may show up an abnormailty in one of the condtions..WPW Syndrome, but may be normal in other conditions.
Ultra sound and stress ECG may be helpful.

Genetic and DNA tests are unreliable at the moment.

Bottom line......screening is avalable but unreliable.
