I am trying to recall the name. A man was stabbed while with his girlfriend. She blamed a road rage attack, and later made emotional appeals on TV etc. As I said, it turns out she did it. It was some years ago.

Yes, man was Lee Harvey psycho woman was Tracie Andrews, who has changed her name to something else as she believes it wont be long before she is released.

I don't know whether this is true, but I heard a rumour that the police suspected her from very eary in the investigation because they found a knife which had been dropped into the fuel tank of the car.

The problem was - petrol destroyed any evidence so it couldn't be used or referred to. However, after they found it, they knew it had to have been Tracey who did it.

As I said...this was a rumour going round - told to me by a copper mate of mine.
