costa dorado-found it so relaxing, the kids entertained themselves and my 13 year old got a girlfriend,
hated tenerife-to many cockroaches.
Tanzania 08 stayed at Hatari Lodge ( Hardy Kruger bought it after making the film of the same name with John Wayne ) which is in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. My Wife and I saw some of Africa's wonderful anmals in their own habitat, we also climbed Mt Meru, fantastic memories, kind friendly people, awesome country.

Ah yes Salla - they don't actually allow anyone under the age of 18 at Sandals, apparently. And they're a mixed-sex couples only resort. Non p.c.! They have the Beaches chain now, tho, for all the family. I stayed at Beaches in the T&C.

Looks fab, knobby. They have a 200 square mile "Stingray city" in the T&C. And if you go in March, you can witness the migration of the Humpback whales. Almost had a Nurse shark encounter there, too.

Naughty - Tanzania sounds wonderful, and is ideally placed to give you great access to other nations across the South African belt. I would love to go there and buy a Tanzanite before it runs out in 10-15 years time.
2nd best holiday was the Dordogne.
Absolutely stunning.
Good cos it was only the 2nd year of our marriage so we were still all loved up, before things went sour :-(
And also - cos it only cost our spending money cos I won the holiday in a competition. :-)

That sounds beautiful, Salla. How did your sailing trip go, btw?

I would love to go back to NY. I went there for my 28th and only had 5 days in which to explore. We had a blizzard during that time, and temps plummeted to -22. I missed out on going to the top of the Empire State, as they closed it down, due to the sheet of ice at the top.
I want to go to Montserrat. It has a 3 day holiday for Paddy's day.
The sailing was good - the weather was far better than it was forecasted. Going again wednesday night for the long easter weekend - don't think we shall be so lucky this time, but ya never know...
We are down the west coast of France, from southern brittany, down the vendee, as far as La Rochelle for 3 weeks in July. That should be verrrrrrrrrrrry nice !!
