Unpaid PA

Is anyone else an unpaid PA for their husband/ partner? I'm guessing this question is aimed more at us women rather than the men.

If there's any calls to be made to any companies, council, electric, gas etc It's me who has to do it. Quite why, ive no idea as more often than not he's hovering in the background going "tell em this...." and "make sure you get....".

Any of his family celebrations, I'm the one who get's the presents and cards for him to give to them. That's also bearing in mind that i'm the one who's remembered it in the first place, as he sure as hell doesn't.

Is it only me who has somehow been shoe-horned into the position of unpaid PA for their spouses?

Mr boo sounds like me lol. the stegess does all the phoning and even answers the phone, i will answer it if no one is in tho. she gets all the presents apart from my daughters (from me) which i always get my self.

I'm very lucky that the present Mrs Hughes is dead organised, and looks after us all really well.

The difference seems to be, I acknowledge her efforts, thank her often and sincerely, and do my fair share in other areas, including keeping her sane when she gets stressed!
