Windows Vista
4 Answers
I purchased a new computer with windows vista on it about 6 months ago. As far as I am concerned, microsoft should never have released vista with the problems it has. My display driver drops off every day, have tried downloading a new one, but understand this is a problem with the vista programme. Now my interest explorer seems to stop working everyday. It says it is to do with my add ons, but I do not have any? Graphics are extremely good with vista, better than XP, but the rest, well, I wish I had bought an Apple Mac. Are we all having the same problems. When is microsoft going to send out patches to correct. Is there anything I can do in the meantime. Any comments appreciated. Thanks Riptide

It works fine for me.
I cant say I LIKE it as much as XP (I have another dekstop with XP on it) but my whole family use Vista and it works fine.
I get annoyed with the "Do you really want to do that" window (I know you can turn it off) and it is a bit sluggish compared to XP.
But overall it is not that bad (not great but usable)
There is a Vista service pack 1 which you should install, plus a load of fixes that go on top of SP1.
I you dont run Windows Update then you should, to get all the latest Vista fixes.
The next release of Windows will be out early next year, and that will probably be more like Vista SHOULD have been.
