This is a true story, went to Newcastle with a friend a few years ago + some Geordie started to talk to me in a shop + honestly did not have a clue as to what he was saying to me ( my friend a fellow Geordie translated later)- it was surreal! Most Geordies understand yet at that time would have understood more if he spoke Portuguese;-)!
Btw, love the Geordie accent + all UK accents :-)
